Watkins Glen, NY – 11/12 saw round nine at Watkins Glen international, the first and only road course of the season. WGI is the home track for HWR as we’re based out of western NY.
”The old Falcon race wraps machine was fast today. Had the best car in practice and qualifying and got on the pole. Had a good lead for most of stage 1 and then my talent came into play and I spun off of 1. Gathered it back up and was able to finish 2nd in stage 1 and 2. Stage 3 was eventful, fought up to the lead with 5 to ago. And then once again, my amazing talent came into play, ran a corner wide and then spun while on the leaders bumper. Managed to finished 2nd but it should have been a victory in HWRs home state and home track. Bummed about the finish. But good stage points and overall finish got us to first in points. Onto Nashville.” – Kluge
